Account and Data Deletion

This is a translation provided for convenience. The official version is the Brazilian Portuguese one, which prevails in case of any difference. Português (Brasil)

This page explains how to delete your postSOMA account, what is deleted, how long it takes, and what the law requires us to keep. It also has the data deletion instructions for people who connected Facebook, Instagram, or Threads.

1. Before deleting

  1. Download your data, if you want: under Account and privacy ("Conta e privacidade"; in the web app, under "Contas"), tap "Download my data" ("Baixar meus dados"). You receive a file with your sign-up data, profiles, and posts. The links to photos and videos inside the file are valid for only 10 minutes, so download what you need right away.
  2. Cancel store subscriptions. If you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play, cancel in the store (see the Subscription and Payment Terms). Subscriptions paid directly to postSOMA (card or Pix) are canceled along with the account deletion.
  3. Sort out your teams. If you are the only owner of a team that has other members, hand ownership to someone else or delete the team first.
  4. Delete what you want on the networks. Deleting postSOMA does not delete posts that are already live.

2. Delete the account in the app

  1. Sign in to your account.
  2. Open the account area:
    • iPhone and iPad: Profiles > Account and privacy ("Perfis" > "Conta e privacidade").
    • Mac: Account and privacy, in the sidebar.
    • Android: Account and privacy.
    • Web app (postsoma.vercel.app): Accounts ("Contas").
  3. Tap "Delete my account" ("Excluir minha conta") and read the summary of what will be deleted.
  4. Confirm with the 6-digit code we sent to your e-mail. The code is valid for 2 minutes. If the app asks, also type the word EXCLUIR (it means "DELETE").
  5. Done: the session ends and you receive a deletion protocol code.

If an error appears, the deletion was not completed. Try again or write to contato@digitaisoma.com.

3. Delete the account by e-mail

If you cannot use the app:

  1. Write to contato@digitaisoma.com, preferably from the account's e-mail.
  2. Subject: Delete my postSOMA account ("Excluir minha conta do postSOMA").
  3. Give the account's e-mail and how you sign in (Google, Apple, or e-mail and password).

To protect you, we will send a code to the account's e-mail to confirm the request is yours. We never ask for your password. We confirm receipt within 5 days and complete the deletion within 15 days after confirmation.

If you lost access to the account's e-mail, say so in your message. We will arrange another way to confirm your identity, asking for the minimum of information.

9. Data deletion instructions: Facebook, Instagram, and Threads

To ask for the deletion of the Facebook, Instagram, or Threads data stored by postSOMA, choose an option:

Option A: through the network itself

  1. Remove postSOMA in the network's settings (item 8).
  2. Meta sends postSOMA a deletion request tied to your account.
  3. We delete the data that came from that account: identifiers, name, @username, photo, Pages, tokens, and the automation data of that account.
  4. We generate a confirmation code, which Meta shows you, with a link to follow the status of the request.

Option B: through postSOMA

  1. Under Profiles (in the web app, under Accounts), choose the Facebook, Instagram, or Threads account.
  2. Tap "Disconnect". The tokens are deleted immediately and the rest of that account's data within 7 days.

  2. Give the e-mail of your postSOMA account and the @username or the Page name.
  3. We confirm the deletion by e-mail.

To also delete your entire postSOMA account, follow items 2 or 3.

10. If you do not have a postSOMA account

If you commented on or messaged an account that uses postSOMA and want your data deleted, ask the account owner or write to contato@digitaisoma.com with the @ of the account you talked to. We will help locate and delete the data.
